Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
On arrival, we ask all guests to call at our front entrance.

There is a porch with a step (17cm high ) to the door with a bell situated on the right (1m 45cm ) there is a light to the left and a threshold step into the property.
There is free roadside car parking for 3-4 cars at the front of the premises.
There is a secure car park at the rear of the Oak House Hotel accessible via the left of the property with room for 8 cars.
The car park is tarmac with marked parking bays, and is lit with movement sensor lights. There is a door to gain access to the property from the car park (threshold step).
It is possible to get a wheelchair into the property, but there is very limited room for manoeuvre. When guests are checked in they receive a key to the bedroom, front entrance, and car park entrance.
We are able to assist guests with luggage if this is required.
There is central heating throughout the house. When the heating is on the temperature of each guest bedroom is controlled by thermostatic controls on the radiators. The beds are made with duvets and there are extra blankets provided in the rooms.
Each bedroom is en-suite with a shower has a ‘hospitality tray’ with tea and coffee provided. There is a Freeview TV/DVD with remote control, alarm clock, mirrors (full length and magnifying) and bedside lamps.
Each room has storage space, which usually consist of a wardrobe (with hangers), chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet.
There is workspace/make-up area and chair.
Emergency evacuation information is on the back of the bedroom door.

Travel-cot, put up bed, bottle warmer, highchair, potty, trainer seat are all available- request at booking
Pets welcome - by arrangement
We are a no smoking building ( smoking is permitted in the car park area)
We can accept small items of food/medication for storage in our fridge - by arrangement.
Main Entrance & Reception and Dining area
There is a second door into the reception which is split level (three steps) and carpeted. It runs from the front to the back of the building, lower level 5x7.5m widest point, upper level 6.5x2.5m widest point There is a Bar/Reception and seven tables seating between two and eight persons. The chairs are without arms.
We endeavour to carer for all dietary requirements (ex nut allergy)
On arrival guests are asked to complete registration forms, are shown to their rooms and the facilities are explained.

There are table and chairs at the rear of the property.
Public Areas –WC
All corridors, stairs and landings are carpeted and well lit. There is a public WC on the first floor.
There is a TV lounge with comfortable seating and a sitting room with a writing bureau seating and a variety of books games and visitor attraction leaflets. These are situated on the ground floor.
Fire call points, bells, extinguishers and signage are in situ.
